Hi beautiful friends!
I just love when something is versatile within the home, whether it is something you can have out all year long or for an entire season. In my last post I showed you how to create this beautiful reindeer art. In those photos we still had our Christmas mantel up (which, based on my not-so-great blogging schedule, you will see next year), but today I’m excited to show you the winter mantel we created after Christmas. I know after Christmas can seem very bland in comparison to all the magical decor that the Christmas season brings, so I always like to create a winter mantel for the rest of the winter season!
I’ve always loved when people incorporated a little glam into the winter season, and I think the best way to do this is to look at what you have for winter decor within your Holiday decor. If it’s not covered in seasonal colours or in Santa Claus, chances are it can stay.
Now, I’m not saying everything should be glittery. I think a bit of glitter here and there keeps it fun while not being to Christmassy. The mantel I we decorated here has a bit of glitter but also incorporates some natural woodsy elements. Take a look at what you have for natural elements! Pinecones, acorns, bare branches – these things can be found right in your own backyard (or purchased on the cheap if you’re not near nature!)
Check out how to make this reindeer art!
Your mantel will likely not look like mine at all, it’s really just the idea behind it. Anything that can be “winter” to you. White candles, photography of wintery scenery, and nature. Even deer (not reindeer) related items can be incorporated for gorgeous winter decor.
If you want to see the Winter mantel I created a couple of years back, be sure to check out my decorating for winter post! Do you decorate your winter after Christmas? I would love to see what you have created now and in the past!
