This summer sure is flying by, isn’t it? If you follow me on Instagram (and ya totally should! My social media links are at the bottom of this post) you know that I have seen fall decor out on store shelves! Have you seen this yet? How are you feeling about fall being around the corner?
For those of you who don’t know – I recently moved to Nova Scotia, which is where I am originally from. Nova Scotia (and the maritimes in general) have so many great small decor businesses! There are also many “hole-in-the-wall” stores for those who love unique vintage finds. As part of the changes that are occurring with Nest of Bliss, I want to start shedding some light on the great places this province has to offer!
I was recently out in New Minas with my best friend Sam, who took me to an adorable little store called Anatolia. This place was just my style and really spoke to me. I had actually been to this store as a child when it was then called ‘The Jelly Cupboard’. Back in the day it sold older country style decor (that was just up my mother’s alley at the time) – but now this store has a new name & style that I absolutely love!
The overall feel of Anatolia is very coastal. Inside this incredibly beautiful store, seaside and nautical influence flow throughout. Your eye doesn’t seem to want to rest! Every corner is filled with beautiful things.
Looking for the perfect detail? Unique door knockers, knobs, and hooks are the perfect finishing touch for any lover of the sea. Pictured above is a sweet anchor door knocker that I just fell in love with!
The store sells a wide variety from home decor, dishes, clothing, jewelry, and much more! Pictured here are simple, classic dishes that never seem to go out of style.
If bold is more your style, pops of colour are easily spotted!
The jewelry here is simply stunning and not quite like anything I’ve seen in retail. A simple understated outfit with the addition with a statement necklace or earrings will take your outfit to the next level. 😉 Perfect for a mid-day transition.
The folk at Anatolia loves the coastal life in Nova Scotia and believes that east coast living should be reflected in the presentation of our homes – I couldn’t agree more!
If you want to pay Anatolia a visit, below is the address & contact information! You can also find them on Facebook!
