Good morning!

It’s mid-December already – someone PLEASE tell me where that time went? It’s absolutely crazy!

As a child it seems like this month drags on forever, but when you grow up you want this month to coast as slow as possible (or, at least I do anyway)

Today I’m off to the malls to buy gifts for friends & familyโ€ฆ wish me luck! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Before I head off I thought I would share with you all our coastal Christmas tree this year…

As we do every year, we decided to go with a coastal theme (much like the rest of our home) I know it’s not for everyone, but it expresses my style and I love it!

I made the tree skirt last year and was so happy to pull it out again this year.. I am a sucker for canvas material and ruffles!

I was sure to take some photos of it lit up in the evening…

I love snuggling up with a coconut hot chocolate, just taking in all of the beauty this season brings.

Our ribbon we used is a roll of burlap. I “made” a similar one last year, but was able to buy a great big roll this year. I was a happy girl!

I also managed to find some realistic faux dried hydrangeas for the tree. They look great and help bring some warmth to the coastal theme.

It is just so beautiful. I wish I had some of those decorations.

    • Thank you Sheryll! The seashells are pretty easy to come by, and if you are lucky enough to have a hydrangea bush you could use those as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ And of course, and the birds are homemade. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Your tree is gorgeous and so is your mantel. Thanks so much for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty

  7. Love that tree so much….but you had me at the tree skirt! It is beautiful and I love the ruffles. Do you have a tutorial on it from last year?

    Merry Christmas!

    • Thank you so, so much Karianne!
I started blogging around August so I don’t have a tutorial – but there’s quite a few similar ones online. Maybe I will have to show the way I made mine sometime. ๐Ÿ™‚
