My New Wicker Emporium Dining Chairs

Hello friends!

What a lovely day it’s been in the village today… the whole weekend was been fantastic, actually – It almost felt like spring outside!

Halloween is over and November is here. It sure did seem to fly by! We didn’t get any kids to our house this year so a lot of leftover candy was eaten (Okay, all of it!)

I’m really excited to share some news with you all today! My favourite store Wicker Emporium recently asked me to be a monthly contributor on their blog! This is so exciting for me as I have loved this store for years, and have many of their items in my own home. I told them I was in the market for dining chairs, and they were kind enough to send me some to feature on my blog – I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Although my former Windsor chairs were beautiful, I was unable to use the captain chairs at the ends of my harvest table due to lack of space, or on the sides since the arms wouldn’t fit underneath the table. I had my ‘dream’ dining chairs pictured in my mind, and was at the point of being ready to splurge on them. Don’t get me wrong – you know I bargain, thrift, and create whenever and wherever I can – but when it comes to something I absolutely ADORE with a lot of impact – I’m willing to spend a little more, and was preparing to find six perfect chairs for our dining table!

By the way, the old chairs went to very a good home. When my mother stopped by for a weekend visit, she asked if she could have the chairs. I was planning on selling them, but to give them to someone who has done and still does so much for me makes me so happy to see her happy. She loves her new chairs!

Wicker Emporium has, of course, been known of their Wicker goods since they first opened in the early 70’s. In more recent years however, they’ve been adding more and more BEAUTIFUL larger furniture pieces to their collection. From contemporary, to shabby chic, to rustic – there is something for any space.

I was very excited to discover they are going to offer online shopping soon! This is so fantastic since their current locations reside in Atlantic Canada and Ontario.

I selected the Natural Jasper Side Chairs for my dining table. I had been coveting chairs of this style for a long time now. I wanted to add a bit of sophistication to my rustic table ever since I gave it a makeover! I think the combination turned out beautifully.

The structure and tufting of these chairs are so gorgeous… but I think the linen-like grey upholstery and light white washed wood won me over! I am a sucker for light weathered wood. Wicker Emporium feeds my need for this! Even their new Christmas stock has plenty of light white-washed country accessories. I can’t wait to head back to pick out some Christmas decorations!

I’m so excited about my new chairs.. it feels like Christmas every time I enter the dining area.

What are some key pieces you are willing to splurge on in your home?

  1. Love your new chairs! They look great with your table! The whole room is so beautiful!

  2. The new chairs look gorgeous Brandi. Thanks for featuring them on your blog and welcome to the blogging team!

  3. Love them! They are such a great contrast to the country table. I absolutely love that look. A comfortable dining chair is really worth a little more money too because you spend so much time there.

The chairs are very rich looking . They give the dining area a classy look but still keeping the casual with the wooden table . I certainly would use this taste in my own home . Great work Bran .

  5. Angie Wierman says:

Love the chairs BUT I also love the light. Where did you find that?

    • Hello Angie! I’m so glad you like the chair and light. The chandelier was purchased from Homesense (Similar to HomeGoods) and is a knock-off of the 6-arm wine barrel chandelier from Restoration Hardware. I definitely couldn’t afford the original, but I’m sure there are other look-a-likes out there! 🙂

  6. Amazingly beautiful!!

  7. Very pretty!

  8. These chairs are gorgeous! I’d love to re-do our current chairs but it’s still further down my list. Congrats on the new writing gig, too!

  9. Those chairs are gorgeous! I love love them! We are in the midst of trying to decide on a new kitchen table so I will be pinning this!

  10. Love those chairs and Wicker Emporium! They sponsored a $50 giveaway on my blog last month, I was so excited! Your home looks gorgeous!

  11. I love these chairs and think they’d be perfect in our dream dining room if they had a darker wood. Thanks!

  12. Your new chairs are beautiful. As is your dining room. I love everything about it! ~Delores

  13. The combination is absolutely GORGEOUS!

  14. Wow..stunning. Where did you purchase your table?

    • Hi Caroline,
      Thank you so much!
We made our table with plans we altered to size from ana-white.com – As for the finish, if you check out our farmhouse table makeover you will see how we achieved the look (link in the post ‘Windsor Chairs’)

  15. The table and chairs are amazing- beautiful taste!!! What color (brand) stain was used on your table???

    • Hi Liz!
The table finish was a bit of a long trial and error process. You can read about how we achieved the look in my ‘Farmhouse Table Makeover’ post! 🙂

  16. I just love whole look of your dinning room! Where did you get the chairs?

  17. Beautiful dining room. I love those chairs and chandelier.

  18. Just found the link through Pinterest & this is off-topic, but what is your wall color? I love it as we are moving and going builder grade, I want a very neutral color on all the walls.

  19. That table is beautiful!

  20. Your dining room is so pretty! I went to the Wicker Emporium website and found just the chairs I’ve been looking for but apparently they are not available in California, do you know if it is possible to pay extra to have them shipped here?

    • First of all- Thank you so much! 🙂 As for the dining chairs, I’m not sure Diane – as far as I know they are just getting the online shopping up and running for now, but that may just be for Canadians. 🙁

  21. Can you please tell me if the Jasper Side Chair with Tufting from Wicker Emporium shipped assembled – and if the seat is a nice deep seat with a tight cushion? I also e-mailed the company but I want a review from a consumer. I have been looking for chairs for a really long time and like the look of these – I like the stretcher bars on the legs.

I currently bought a dining set on e-bay – and though I like the look of the chairs – the seat cushion is terrible – it sinks and the wood frame of the chair cuts into your legs. Hoping to not repeat this again.

    • Hi Melissa,

I picked up my chairs directly from our local Wicker Emporium. They are assembled, and I ADORE the seat – it is so comfortable! We actually play long board games here as well. 🙂

  22. Hi Brandi,
I absolutely adore your dining table! You did a beautiful job on it. I am about to start building one of my own using Ana White’s plans, but I was wondering the dimensions of your table. What size boards did you use for the tabletop? I like the way you have the smaller boards in the middle.

    • Hi Stephanie,

I’m away from home so I don’t have the exact measurements, but I do know that the smaller pieces in the middle was a compensation tactic as the exact amount of boards wasn’t going to fully fit on the frame we created, so be sure to keep in mind the size of the boards when you are determining your table’s size. 🙂

  23. Are the chairs you have here the “grey” color? On the website they look much darker, yours look more of a talc or linen color. I absolutely LOVE the table and am going to try to make one for my dining room. Love your blog!

    • Hi Nicole!
They are a warm grey color in person. However, they may have chairs with a different shade of material now. I hope this helps, & thank you for your sweet comment!

  24. Not a thing in this room that im not inlove with! Definitely trying some of your projects. Would you mind telling me where you got your chandelier from- it goes so well with everything! Great Blog!

    • Thank you very much, Hannah! The chandelier is a Restoration Hardware knock-off from Homesense (Similar to Homegoods in the US)

  25. Love the look where did you get the tabke from?

    • We built the table through plans from ana-white, and I have a play by play of how I ended up with the finish in my ‘projects’ section.

  26. Hello,

Could you tell me where you got your bamboo roman shades? I’m looking for ones just like those. Thanks!

    • Hi Natasha,
They came with the house when we bought it actually. But I think similar ones can be found at most home depot stores. 🙂

  27. loredana Scaletta says:

Where can I buy this table?

    • My father made this table for me using Ana White plans. If you search Ana White for farmhouse tables you will find the plans and they are free.

  28. Hello! I LOVE your whole look. We recently did a farmhouse table and I was wondering where you got your curtains or what material is it? 🙂

  29. I was just curious as to what the dimensions are on this beautiful farmhouse table???

  30. Mandi Gremillion says:

    Hi

    Lovely chairs.
But where did u get the gorgeous table? Lol

    • Hi Mandi, glad you like the table. My dad and I built that table using free plans by Ana White. Just google Ana White Farmhouse Table and you will find the plans. We built is for about $100 canadian. Not bad!! Hope that helps, Brandi

  31. Hi, I am very interested in the table. Where can I purchase it?

    • Hello Kelly,

My father and I built this table using free plans from Anna White. Google Anna White Farmhouse Table and you will find her plans.

      Have a great day!

      Brandi

  32. Hi! I know this post is many years old but I came across it on Pinterest. I love the chairs and actually purchased the same ones. I LOVE your dining room table. Do you mind sharing where you got it from?? I have been desperately searching for a table just like this with no such luck. Thank you!!!
