Guest – A Beautiful Fall Mantel

Happy Monday all!

This weekend we travelled to my hometown to visit my family and I got to spend some much needed time with my girlfriends. We went out to a Halloween concert in support of cancer research and had a blast!

While home I noticed my mom has dabbled in some seasonal decorating! She did a fabulous job so I just had to share her autumn mantel with you. I also have a living room makeover to reveal that I did in her home this past summer to post in the near future! But until then, here’s her beautiful fall mantel!

My favourite part of her scheme this year was that she used orange decor with her blue walls. These are complimentary colours and she put everything together so tastefully.

I adore her fall wreath! She has a window above her mantel like I do! I found it for her in an old barn of a family friend. I love the worn appearance and chippy paint. πŸ™‚

White shabby chic wall clock - Nest of Bliss
Don’t you love this rustic wall clock she has next to her mantel? She purchased it at a local bargain store.

BONUS! She even fancied up her kitchen sink! It was so cute and simple I just had to share. I wish I had a window above my sink!

I hope you all enjoyed this little “mantel tour”! Halloween is just around the corner… then it’s time for Christmas! — Too soon? πŸ˜‰

  4. Wow! She did a great job! I love the colors so much. I’m going out looking for a window next month. I’ve wanted one for far too long and never went out looking for it. So I’ve decided that next month is it. I used to have a clock just like that, sadly then I didn’t have the same appreciation for stuff I do now and I threw it out. I also wish I had a window above my sink, I think it makes such a difference in a kitchen….oh well, next home it will be a must have.

    • Thank you Melissa! This is her first year seasonally decorating, and since I gave her living room a makeover she’s been playing around with different mantelscapes. She’s doing a wonderful job!
Old windows around here are pretty easy to find, and I love the way the can frame an area for decorating! I too wish I had a window above my sink… it sure would make doing the dishes less tedious!
