UPDATE: I added a few small white pumpkins to our autumn mantel – I think it really adds the finishing touch. π I just had to update you with some new photos!
Hello everyone!
The temperature is definitely getting cooler around here!
It’s officially fall.
I look forward to warm drinks, blankets, and those perfect cozy days. π
I started my fall decorating with aΒ fall pinecone wreath!
A couple of days ago I decided it was time to spruce up our mantel for the season.
I used all inexpensive items, as well as some picks from nature. Gotta be budget friendly, right?
I considered taking down my window and wreath – but the dried hydrangea look seems to tie in with the season!
I love how it turned out! It’s starting to feel like fall in here.
The antique window was given to me from my mom, and the wreath is from Bargain Harley’s and was $7.
This little guy is from Wicker Emporium! The second I saw him, I just had to bring him home with me! Isn’t he cute?
The books I scored for free at a thrift shop – I purchased an item there and they kindly threw them in.
I just love little lights… they add warmth to any room!
The pumpkins were 10 dollars from my local grocery store, I love that these pumpkins won’t rot π
I made the ‘S’ with a wooden ‘S’ found at a discount store, and used a hot glue gun to wrap it up in twine. My fiancΓ©’s last name starts with S, and I have always loved the look of that letter. π
See those lanterns?
They were $5 each on clearance at the end of the summer season at the grocery store! I put a candle inside, and filled them with acorns that I gathered last fall. It’s an easy inexpensive way to take your lanterns from summer to fall!
The round lantern is from Homesense -I believe it was $15. I added in an old birds nest Jeff found a few years back. (Don’t worry, it wasn’t anyone’s home! It was found on our front lawn.)
Have you begun decorating for fall?
Have a fantastic week!
Be sure to ‘Pin’ to come back later π

Thanks Tiana! Hope you are enjoying the fall weather!
I love your mantle. I think the way you raised it up and added the crown molding is perfect. I came over earlier in the week from Roeshel’s DIY Show Off blog.
Thank you very much Sheryll. It was a project that we are so glad we did. π
Beautiful and simple. I love the lights!

Don’t you just love them? They always end up in every room. π

Thank you Laura! Hope you’re doing well. π
What a beautiful fall mantel. I love the natural colour for fall and the lights are so pretty. My fav. is the acorns in the lanterns, I might have to try that one next year.
